What are the areas of specialization for the FP students?
The Fellow Programme in Management offers specialization in the areas of Behavioural Sciences, Finance and Control, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Human Resources Management and Operations Management.
The Fellow Programme in pre disciplnes realted to Management offers specialization in the Economics, Mathematics for Management, Operations Research and Systems Analysis, Regional Development and Sociology.

Are Fellow Students paid any honorarium?
All students are awarded a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- per month. In addition to the scholarship, the students are entitled upto Rs.20,000/- per year, for contingency expenditure and field work as per Institute's rules. Additional funds upto Rs. 20,000/-, for the entire tenure of FP student, can be availed for field work during thesis stage. On completion of comprehensive qualifying examiniation (CQE), students would get a scholarship of 11,000/-per month. Scholarships from Infosys Technologies Infosys Technologies Limited has constituted two scholarships amounting to Rs.15,000/- per month for a maximum period of three years for students doing their research in MIS. The students are entitled to upto Rs.45,000/- per year, for contingency expenditure and field work as per Institute's rules.

Is an IIMC fellow equivalent to a Ph.D.?
The Fellow Programme in Management and the Fellow Programme in the areas related to Management are recognised as being equivalent to a Ph.D. by the Association of Indian Universities. The Government of India has also recognized the Fellowship in Management of this Institute as being equivalent to a Ph.D. degree in management education of a recognised Indian University.
